    FTP connection problem

I have a standard FTP that's working fine. It's directed to a directory. I just recently added a VD to it directed elsewhere on the system. I can connect to it fine, but my colleagues in India can not. They can however connect to the root just fine. I checked the logs and there is no mention of their attempt to the new VD, so it looks like it never even makes it to the server.

We have a Juniper firewall, but the FTP port is open. Anyone know why someone india wouldn't be able to connect to the VD when I can using the same username and password?

Not much. if this work on IE 6 and user got redirected to the correct folder.
But not on IE 7 and it stuck at root folder, this is IE issue. not IIS.  And this is also a known issue.

    Re: FTP connection problem

I'm also trying to connect via the command prompt. Is there something special you need to do to connect to VD's??? I type "open [root ftp]" and it works fine, and if i try "open [root/virtualdirectory]" it says "unknown host..."

     Ideas?

You first connect to the server

    ftp yourftpserver

then login then only 'cd virtualdirectory'

    Re: FTP connection problem

Turns out they just didn't know how to use WS_ftp, and that you had to specify the remote folder outside of the path.

    Thanks for the support.
