Error 400 Bad Request - The Server could not complete your request ... check FPSE or SpTS installed.

I'm setting up some sub-domains (i.e. example.website.com) on an existing Windows 2003 server successfully running website.com.

Through IIS I setup the new site with a directory under Inetpub (inetpub\example). I then right click on the example site, click on tasks, and click on 'Configure Frontpage 2002 server extensions'.

I then get the gears page (with no gears turning ... seems to me they used to do that) and when I refresh the IIS view I can see the subdirectories I expect no _vti_bin virtual directory.

When I then right click example.website.com then click 'all tasks' I see and then click on 'Open with Frontpage'.

Frontpage opens however the error dialog box comes up that says "The server could not complete your request ..." and indicates there's not server extensions installed. The recalc command in 'All Tasks' and the 'Check Server Extensions' commands throw up a "webpage not found' error.

Hmm do you have Windows Authentication checked in the properties?
