  eventarchiver hanging on some machines Reply Contact Hi there, I am trying to pull the list of eventlogs from a remote machine using the following query: logparser "select distinct KeyName from \\\HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\EventLog where KeyName <> 'EventLog'" -i:reg On certain machines this seems to hang, is there a way to force a timeout if this occurs? Also what services are required to be running on the target machine for this to work? Finally what O/S's does this work on? At least one machine is a windows NT server. When it fails it just hangs indefintely, also the amount of CPU & memory keep increasing. Thanks, Justin

Reply Contact I am running a test query right now: after 15 minutes: cpu is 80-90% CPU time: 15min, memory 3672/6628 VM (mem usage increasing by 8k per second), page faults 42,404,011 PF delta average 14,000 This seems pretty crazy.
