    logparser.com content?

Hi folks. What's happened to all the content on logparser.com? It was a little treasure trove of helpful scripts and things. Now it just redirects to a single paragraph describing LogParser.

What happened to this little community?

    Cheers
    Matt

I believe it's all being moved to the iis.net site.  Might even be a chance for a Logparser forum.

    Re: logparser.com content?

I'd like to know what happened to logparser.com, too.  It had great content (forums, etc.) beyond what's available in the CHM help file and all that appears to be gone now.  If the content is being brought into IIS.net, could we get an announcement as to when that will happen and where we can find it?

    Thanks.

Hi, Brad -- We're working on migrating the content, forums, and the code for logparser.com. Apologies for any hassles while we get this migration complete... I'll re-post when we have a timeframe worked out for having that content available on IIS.NET.

    Thanks,
    mai-lan

While we await that migration, in case it may encounter any difficulty, could you perhaps at least create the forum (among your standard ones) to enable discussion to begin? I have a question I'd wanted to ask. :-)

Or is there a beneficial reason to wait for the forum to be created as part of some larger migration of the old logparser site?

So glad to hear it's not gone forever. For those who can't wait, I'll point out that fortunately the good ol' web archive still has a snapshot as of early May: http://web.archive.org/web/20070508194107/http://www.logparser.com/

Thanks for posting the link to the May snapshot, that's great. Can you post your logparser question to our general forum? If we create a new forum while we are trying to migrate the old forum, it might take a longer time to get to the end result, which is a single logparser forum with new posts and the archive, all searchable and nicely consolidated. That's what we're working towards. :-)

OK, thanks and will do. You've explained what I wondered (whether creating one early would hinder the ultimate import of the old).

    Re: logparser.com content?

Hi Mai-lan, it seems that the logparser forums have indeed been recreated now: http://forums.iis.net/default.aspx?GroupID=51

In fact, it seems that it was created on 8/21, before we were having these discussions.

Anyway, wanted to share that news if others had missed it.

So, any news on the other content (scripts and articles)? And if you can't say when that will be made available, could you perhaps offer at least a clue to where we should be looking to keep an eye out? :-)

    Thanks

Attachments to posts seem to all have been lost as well, is there a time frame to restore those?

    Thanks,

    Re: logparser.com content?

Can someone get all the forums content here to work correctly? Whoever is in charge of it?  Personally I miss the old logparser site, and it seems to have lost all the great community of people that use to be there.

None of the forums work on this archive.

I am mainly looking for two excellent word docs that a guy named Igor wrote on advanced charting with the -config switch and .vbs and .js scripts.

    Thanks in advance,

    Nigel
