The known issues / limitations below affect only CGI programs running on top of the FastCGI technical preview for IIS 5.x / IIS 6, and do not affect other server components like the static file handler, ASP, or ASP.NET:
- Http POSTs over 1 Mb are not supported. This prevents large file uploads to CGI programs, like PHP, from working in this release.
- Http responses larger then 1Mb are not supported. This prevents large file downloads from CGI programs, like PHP, from working in this release.
- The TCP FastCGI protocol is not supported. This prevents certain FastCGI programs that rely on the TCP FastCGI transport from working - including Python. PHP is not affected.
- Certain PHP configuration directives may cause an 0x800703e3 error when using the FastCGI technical preview. For more information, see http://forums.iis.net/thread/1451408.aspx.
- PHP 4.0 may hang under request load. A workaround is available here: http://forums.iis.net/ShowThread.aspx?PostID=1452687&PermaPostID=1452687#1452687
These limitations will be addressed in the next release.
The issues below have been fixed in a previous update, included in the current release:
- The fcgisetup.js /r /uninstall command will cause loss of ScriptMaps. This issue is fixed in the current FastCGI download.
